Crystals for the Heart Chakra

The Heart Chakra or Anahata Chakra is the fourth of the seven chakras.  This chakra is where we hold the essence of love.  Love for ourselves, love for others, it generates kindness, compassion and connects us to our highest self.  The heart chakra is located in the centre of the chest between the sternum and the spine.  It is represented by the colour green.  Choosing crystals that match this colour or resonate with the heart chakra can help to provide healing, balancing and blockage removal.

The Heart Chakra

This chakra is the source of our ability to love and be loved.  It allows us to be motivated and live a life in alignment with love, and to feel joy, compassion, and empathy.  Seeing the beauty in ourselves and the world around us.  When our chakras are in balance the energy throughout the body flows harmoniously and we feel in flow and at ease within ourselves and the universe.   When the heart chakra is in balance it promotes a feeling of self-love and acceptance.  Living a life causing minimal harm to those around you, and being of service to the world.

But how do you know when the heart chakra is out of balance?  Keep an eye out for these signs of an unbalanced heart centre.

  • Feeling disconnected
  • Feeling depressed or lonely
  • Easily angered or frustrated
  • Giving love in the wrong places/to the wrong people
  • Suffer from co-dependency
  • Easily hurt and overly sensitive
  • Unable to trust others easily and lack deep connections

Struggling with any of these right now?  Don’t worry, these crystals help to bring the heart chakra back into balance and alleviate these problems.

  • Rose Quartz
  • Jade
  • Green Calcite
  • Bloodstone

By incorporating any of these stones into your meditation and healing, you can channel the energy and the healing properties of the crystal to bring balance back to this chakra centre. Try visualising the colour green as you meditate to boost the energy of this chakra.  The frequency of the colour Green harmonises with the heart, signifying great love and compassion.
