Warm Chai Spiced Oat Bowl in under ten minutes!

The mornings get cooler and there feels like a sudden need for a hug in a bowl to warm through the cockles. Nothing seems to create this feeling like a warming oat bowl, so I’ve turned a classic chai latte into an edible delight in the form of just that. It’s hearty, nutritious and delicious, full of the flavours we love about this time of year and the best part is that it’s full of so much goodness that it’ll keep you full all morning!


In just a few simple steps, under ten minutes and best of all - with minimal mess - you can too create this deliciousness!



Chai Spice Mix


½ tsp Ground Cardamom

½ tsp Allspice

½ tsp Nutmeg

1 tsp Cinnamon

½ tsp Ground Cloves

3 tsp Ground Ginger


Oat Bowl


200g Oats

480ml Almond milk

6 Dried Figs, roughly chopped

1tbsp Pumpkin Seeds

1tsp Cacao Nibs

1tbsp Maple Syrup


Directions


Mix the spices together in a small ramekin and set aside.


Put the oats into two cereal or pasta bowls and tap gently on the surface to even them out. Pour the almond milk into a small saucepan and add the spice mix. Whisk to combine and set over a medium heat until it starts to gently simmer. Whisk vigorously to create some bubbles, then remove from the heat and pour evenly over the two oat bowls.

Sprinkle over the chopped figs, the pumpkin seeds and cacao nibs, then drizzle over the maple syrup and enjoy!
